Tired of dating apps and cringey singles events? This New Year’s Eve, join us at Boom Battle Bar Stevenage for a night of games, drinks, music and a room full of local singles.
Think competitive games, a DJ, a karaoke booth and a countdown with a crowd that’s in it together. And no one gets left behind this New Year’s. We’ll see in the new year together as the big singles community that we are.
What to Expect
You’ll have a relaxed arrival window to settle in, grab a drink and say hello to a few faces before the games begin. Then it’s game time. You’ll be rotated around the below games, with plenty of banter and friendly rivalry along the way:

Later in the evening, you can jump into the karaoke booth (totally optional – no judgement here!)
Then the party starts!
Once the games wrap up, the dancefloor opens and the DJ takes over, playing right through the countdown and seeing you into the new year until 1am. We’ll have a dedicated area for the Be Dating Beautiful community: a friendly home base to relax, catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones. Whether it’s your first event or your fifth, you’ll always have somewhere to land.
The Games

Darts, but with a Boom Battle Bar twist. Their interactive reality darts experience combines classic darts with state-of-the-art technology and a range of game modes. Whether you’re secretly competitive or haven’t picked up a dart in years, it’s a brilliant way to get chatting.
🏓 EVERYDAY I’M SHUFFLIN’
One puck at a time, you’ll battle it out on Boom’s Scandinavian-made boards using Canadian Sugar Maple wood. Easy to pick up, surprisingly competitive, and it gives you something to talk about other than “so, what do you do?”
Allergy information: The shuffleboard dust currently used contains small traces of nuts.
Why Be Dating Beautiful Events Feel Different
We don’t think singles need more nights sat across from strangers making small talk. We create experiences where the activity takes the pressure off. When you’re playing darts, going for the winning shot at beer pong or belting out a song in the karaoke booth, conversation just happens. You’ll have something to laugh about, something to compete over and something to remember.
Before you know it, you’re chatting to someone you met five minutes ago without even thinking about it. It’s less dating event and more a brilliant New Year’s Eve party where everyone happens to be single.

Who Is This For?
Singles in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. Your booking will be placed into an age group to help us create the best mix on the night. The age groups are a guide rather than a strict rule, so if you’re slightly outside your bracket, don’t worry.
We’re bringing together like-minded singles from across Hertfordshire for a fun, social night to remember.
Tickets
🎟 Members: £25. Available for the first 48 hours only
🎟 General Release: £30.
Please note: there are no bookings on the night. Tickets are non refundable.
A Little Note About Ticket Releases
We release tickets in batches rather than putting the whole event on sale at once. This lets us monitor bookings and keep the gender balance as even as possible. If tickets show as SOLD OUT, don’t panic. It may just mean the current batch has sold. Join the waiting list and we’ll let you know when more become available. We recommend booking early. Once we’re full, we’re full!

NYE Party FAQs
Is this speed dating?
No. There are no timed one-to-one dates or forced conversations. You’ll meet different people naturally as you rotate through the games, then it’s party time.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Many guests do, and the games and the BDB community area make it easy to start chatting. No one gets left behind.
Is there a DJ?
Yes. The DJ will see you into the new year!
What should I wear?
Dress for a party! Something festive and comfortable that you can play games (and dance) in.
Can I drink alcohol?
Yes, you can enjoy drinks throughout the evening.
Can I book on the night?
No, there are no bookings on the night, so make sure you’ve got your ticket in advance.
