This November, our monthly singles night at Ronnie’s Bar turns into a mystery mingle. A room full of Singles, Secret Suspects, plus One very good reason to start a conversation with everyone in the room.
How it works
- Everyone receives a sealed envelope on arrival. Inside is your secret role.
- A handful of guests are Suspects, each with secret missions to complete during the evening.
- Everyone else is a Spark. You don’t know what the missions are. You just know that some people in the room have a hidden agenda.
- Your job is to mingle, ask questions, swap clues and work out who’s a Suspect.
- By 9pm: make your decision. Everyone submits their vote on a card.
- By 10pm: the big reveal. Who were the Suspects, and how good a detective are you really?

Not a game person? Don’t worry.
The game is simply an icebreaker. You’ll always have something to talk about, a reason to approach someone new, and a built-in way to end a conversation. There are no timers, no rotations and no forced one-to-one chats. Move around the room, grab a drink and chat to whoever catches your eye. Your host will be there all night to make introductions.
And somewhere along the way, you might just find a spark.
Your Monthly Singles Night at Ronnie’s
Ronnie’s Bar brings a little LA glamour together with the charm of a traditional English country club. For one night each month, we take over an exclusive space downstairs and turn it into your own private singles social.

Dress code: smart casual (maybe a little mysterious 🕵️)
Who Is It For?
Singles over 40 who are ready to get out, meet people and have fun in real life. Whether you’re newly single, back on the scene, fed up with dating apps or just want a great night out, you’ll be very welcome. Most guests come alone.
⏰ Book Early (Seriously)
This is a balanced-room event, so we release tickets in batches and carefully monitor the mix of men and women booking. That means:
- Early tickets are the cheapest: Newsletter subscribers £15 / General release £20/ Last minute £25
- Each booking unlocks the next batch of tickets. The earlier you book, the more singles we can invite.
- Tickets can sell out for one group before the other. If your age group is full, you’ll be put on the waitlist and notified when more tickets become available.
- Tickets are non-refundable, so book once you’re sure, but do book soon.
Gents, this one’s for you: you’re the group that tends to leave it late, so don’t wait until the week of the event. Book now and bring a friend along, and make the event even bigger!
Coming Alone?
Perfect. You absolutely don’t need to bring a friend. Your host will greet you at the door, welcome you into the event and help you settle in. You’ll then make your way downstairs into our exclusive singles space, where you can grab a drink, meet people and enjoy the evening at your own pace. You won’t be left standing in a corner wondering what to do. Just bring yourself. We’ll take care of the rest.

Photography & Filming
Photography and short-form video will be captured during the event for use across Be Dating Beautiful’s website and social media channels. If you’d like to be excluded, please let the host (Eleni) know on arrival.

FAQs
Is this speed dating? No. There are no timers, rotations or forced one-to-one conversations. It’s a relaxed singles social with a mystery game running through the evening.
Do I have to be a Suspect? Only a few guests are chosen, and your host picks confident people who’ll enjoy it. Most guests are Sparks and just have to chat, listen and trust their gut.
What if I don’t like games? You can take part as much or as little as you like. The game is there to start conversations, not to put you on the spot.
Is it like a murder mystery? Nothing dramatic or scary. It’s a light, funny game of bluffing and detective work.
What age group is it for? Singles over 40.
Do I need to come with someone? Absolutely not. Many guests come alone, and your host will welcome you when you arrive. Should you like moral support, it would be possible for friends to stay at the bar, whilst you go through to the singles mixer downstairs. (I promise you, it’s not needed though…guests often feel relaxed once they’ve arrived and have been introduced to some friendly faces).
What should I wear? Smart casual. Dark colours welcome 🖤
Will there be men and women? We carefully manage ticket sales and do our best to keep a balanced mix.
