Join us at Granello Lounge in Hitchin for a festive evening of tapas, drinks, and great company. This isn’t your usual singles event with strict age brackets or equal numbers, it’s a celebration of connection. A night for our BDB running community and singles members to come together, share good food, laughter, and a toast (or two!) to friendship.

What to Expect

A relaxed, friendly evening. This is not speed dating!
Tapas-style sharing dishes and drinks
Table rotations throughout the meal to meet new faces
Chilled drinks afterwards for those who fancy staying longer
A festive, feel-good night celebrating our incredible singles community

We typically attract a fun, welcoming crowd aged 30–65, and you’ll always find a mix of personalities, from our seasoned event regulars to new members looking to connect.

How to Join Our Singles Event

To secure your spot, simply:

Become a BDB Member by checking out today to enjoy 6 months of meet ups across Hertfordshire.
Food Pre-orders and a £5 deposit (to secure your space) can be given to Eleni at upcoming events (I’ll be in touch). You can find the Menu here.
You will pay for your food and drinks on the evening (any deposit paid removed)

Please book early. As it’s peak season the restaurant want confirmed numbers by the 15th Nov.

Your membership gives you access to a series of exclusive singles events across Hertfordshire, from comedy nights to competitive games and seasonal celebrations like this one.

You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive network of singles who are all about living boldly, connecting authentically, and having fun, without the awkwardness of traditional speed dating events.

Parking: There’s parking just a few minutes’ walk away at St Mary’s Square Car Park, Queen Street, Hitchin, SG4 9TN which is free after 6pm!

By Train: Hitchin Station is roughly a 10-minute walk from the town centre, making it easy to get to if you’re travelling from London.
